Another very successful year raising money for charities

Over a weekend each August we open Langdale for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) along with 5 other fine gardens in Offenham as part of the NGS Offenham Gardens group. Every year the event becomes more and more successful, making it a really lovely village day out for visitors. This year was no exception - between the 6 gardens we attracted 883 visitors over the 2 days and raised in excess of £9,000 for the charities supported by the NGS and for The Air Ambulance. For the garden openers it was great to see so many old friends and so many new faces too. This event will be held over the weekend of 8^th & 9^th August in 2020.

Here at Langdale we also open the garden through the summer (May - September) for small group visits, usually doing 12 of these per year. Each year we divide the money raised between a number of small local charities and good causes. We also had a very successful year again this year, raising in excess of £1,300 for our chosen charities.
